Counter stool round up
Hey there, happy Friday! We had one day (maybe even just a half day) here in St. Louis where we got a hint that spring is near and for those of us in the real estate market, that's good news. Folks are definitely starting to get their houses ready to list and that (thankfully) means that our phone is ringing off the hook.
So we've been carefully taking note of our inventory levels for our upcoming projects and one item that we can't ever get enough of is the counter stool. I've mentioned this on Instagram before, but my family is definitely an "eat at the island" type of family. My husband and I insist that we eat as a family most nights of the week, but after that our formality goes out the window. We typically pull up the counter stools and each right at the island rather than gathering around our dining table. Reason one, it's so much quicker and easier and reason two, my kids always spill or wipe their hands on the white chairs in the dining room. And I'll never learn and keep buying white dining chairs!
Today I'm sharing some really great counter stools for all you island eaters. Gosh, when I say that it really makes me want to be on a beach with a Miami Vice :)
I love love love the look of these 4 woven counter stools, and of course, the Serena & Lily Balboa stool (top left) is my all-time favorite. I think that these natural fiber stools really have a clean, cool and casual feel in a kitchen.
I think that upholstered counter stools are a gorgeous way to make your kitchen feel a little more formal. Clearly these might not be for those of you with messy little ones (especially the lighter colors), but I think an upholstered stool is a great way to bring in some color and softness, particularly in a bright white kitchen.

Whenever we post pictures of our leather counter stools (see above) we get so many comments, so I know that leather is all the rage. I think these options are so modern and cool. And leather (or leather-ish) is shockingly affordable and can also be easily wiped down which is pretty darn good combination.
A FEW MORE TO LOVE
These next six counter stools could probably fall into several different categories, but one thing is certain, they are fun! I particularly love the brass wire stool from CB2 and the backless stackable stools from Wayfair are super affordable and come in tons of colors.
So are you convinced that you need new counter stools yet? There are so many amazing (and affordable) options out there.
