Easy updates for the kitchen

April 2, 2019

If you're anything like me, you probably have quite a few things on your kitchen counter tops, but these items probably are more functional than fun.  Here are a few affordable pieces that you can add to your kitchen for an easy update!  And remember, if you're selling your house, pack those functional items away before pictures and showings...

 A.  The Orion - I absolutely love this black and white speckled pot and snake leaf plant from UrbanStems.  I love a pop of green (and life) in a kitchen, so if you can keep it alive you should definitely get the real thing.  And according to UrbanStems, the snake leaf plant has been shown to reduce stress and spark creativity - win/win!

B. Olive Wood Cutting Board - I would have 100 cutting boards in my kitchen if there was room, I am obsessed.  These olive wood cutting boards from Everything Olive Tree on Etsy are so sleek and currently in my cart.

C. Copper Gooseneck Spout Coffee and Tea Kettle - Sure, you make have a pretty useful coffee maker, but a decorative tea kettle is an easy way to add some style and color to your kitchen.

D. 3.1x5.6' Turkish Rug - This beautiful turkish rug would be a perfect addition to a kitchen, particularly in front of a kitchen sink or along an island.  It's a great small size and the darker colors can absorb some of the spills and mishaps in a kitchen!

E. Cupola Hi-Gloss Covered Server - I can definitely see this glass server piece in the middle of a kitchen island, with or without a cake!  I love the glossy wood base and it's a little something special compared to an all glass piece.
