Shut, I mean PAINT the front door

As the seasons start to change, it’s time to think about sprucing up your front porch. One thing homeowners tend to neglect is the actual front door. Especially if you typically go in/out a side door or through the garage. A fresh coat of paint on the front door can bring a new energy to your home and boost your curb appeal. It’s basically like lipstick for your house. I am sharing a few of my favorite front door colors for some inspiration. So, while you are potting the mums, changing your wreath and adding some seasonal pops - don’t forget to see if you need a little front door refresh.

Of course, my personal favorite is black- it’s a classic choice and always looks really sharp with almost any house style. If you are staying on the safer traditional side (but you’d still like some color), then blue or red are great options. With red, just be careful to stay away from maroon which can look dated, and also beware of a red that reads really orange-y. A bright red like the front door pictured here using the paint color ‘Real Red’ is my personal favorite. There are also some really nice griege tones that feel light and airy, especially paired with a crisp white exterior paint like this pic from Studio McGee. And, for the adventurous- a nice green or yellow could also be great options.

Maybe your front door is already on point, but you want to update the accessories? Check out a few of these pics for a quick update.

I hope this provides some good inspo for you as you start the transition into fall. Pumpkin Lattes cheers all around!
