Guest Bathroom Styling Guide

One thing I love about staying at a hotel is the feel of the bathroom: tranquil, minimal, and clean. The best hotel bathrooms have everything you need and nothing that you don't.

Wouldn't you love to give guests the same experience when they visit or stay at your home? Styling your guest bathroom is fun and easy, and will really impress anyone just passing through or staying a while!

1. Clutter Free

First thing's first: no one wants to see your mess. Your guest bathroom should really be one of those spaces that stays clean and tidy. Put extra toothpaste and hand towels away in a closet or vanity drawer. Keep the mirror spot-free and the counters wiped. A clutter-free bathroom is the best place to start when styling.

2. Towels

Keep a set of clean white bath and hand towels at the ready for guests. We recommend 4 or so of each. Keep them washed (use a little bleach to keep them extra bright white and smelling fresh) and ready to hang on towel bars and rings for easy access. Having fresh towels will ensure guests feel pampered and comfortable.

3. Toiletries

Visitors will greatly appreciate you having on hand those necessities they might have forgotten, such as rich body lotion, makeup removing towelettes, or even a toothbrush (we've all been there!). Have some goodies stashed in the medicine cabinet or linen closet, or set out a cute collection on a pretty tray like they do at hotels.

4. Art & Accessories

When adding art and accessorizing a guest bathroom, keep it simple and impersonal. For art, think watercolor painting of a serene landscape, or black and white photograph of a cityscape. And for accessories, greenery (real if you can keep it alive, faux if you can't, like us) is always a great addition. We also like candles, glass jars, or a small clock as well.
