So you're still working from home, it's time to update that office!

There have been quite a bit of changes in 2020 and one of the biggest changes is the push for employees to work from home. For the first few months, many of us were working at our dining tables or kitchen counters or make-shift card table desks. That worked for awhile, but now that it's looking like work-from-home might be long term, it's definitely time to invest in your home office. A home office needs to be functional, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your style or your budget. We've rounded up our favorite, inexpensive desks, and desk chairs to help you complete the home office of your dreams.

I absolutely love the look of mid-century writing desks. The solid wood and clean lines really work with most design styles, even if you do not typically lean towards mid-century home decor. They are truly versatile - you can pair these desks with any rug color or style and they pair well with pretty much every desk chair.

These industrial desks provide that modern farmhouse feel that Joanna Gaines made so popular. I love the contrast of the wood against the metal and while the industrial desks are a little more specific than the mid-century, they do work well with in most homes.

You can't go wrong with a classic white desk. While some of these lean a little more feminine than the mid-century and industrial options, a white desk is certainly versatile and timeless. I actually use a white parsons desk in my home office and I love it!

I've pulled together a variety of colors, textures and fabrics for my desk chair round up. All of these beauties are under $250 and they provide style, comfort and function. I think you could mix-and-match each of these chairs with just about any desk in the round up's!

You wouldn't work from a card table at the office (I hope!) so don't do it at home. Who knows how long we'll be working from home, so what are you waiting for? Invest in yourself and in your home office, you won't regret it.
